Not mine.
Me, I seem to be on permanent vacation for the time being.
Our friends from Boston.
The first guest left on Saturday and the second left on Monday.
Hope you had fun in Dijon, Jane and Paul!

Thanks to their being here we had an excuse to celebrate Thanksgiving Day in France.

The Long Trip Home

Sunday, November 28th, 2004

So, I finally went into Paris yesterday.
I met Kayla (who really does seem taller on her Blog) and had a fun time seeing her side of the Seine. A part of Paris I’m not very familar with, but which I’d like to go back and spend some more time in.

It was on the way […]

Inspiration

Monday, November 22nd, 2004

The secret project I was working on last week was inspired by two cool guys.

One was my brother, who requested it, and the other was this little guy here, which some of you may recognize.

The Charlie Brown Zig-Zag Stripe Hat

Hope you’re not too disappointed after last week’s build up!

It was knit with ecru colored cotton from Berroco and some eyelash yarn from Phildar.

This is the scarf I’m attempting to make now.

I’m using Colinette Mohair.
The label says to use 5.5 mm needles […]

My Search For The One

Friday, November 12th, 2004

I’ve not only had a bit of writer’s block lately, but it also seems I’ve come down with knitter’s block as well.

This is what happens when I have too many choices.

So, not knowing what to knit, I usually try several things before I find “the one” garment that’ll make me drop everything else and devote […]

Burgundy Blahs

Thursday, November 4th, 2004

I haven’t posted in awhile because I’ve been feeling Blah lately.
I think that the ‘ol SAD syndrome is back now that Dijon is again under cover of grey skies and non-stop rain.
(Yes, it’s raining now as I type.)
Burgundy sucks in the fall and winter.
If you ever plan on moving to this area of France make […]
