A Finished Cardigan!

Wednesday, October 20th, 2004

There it is. FCEK Cardi #6, Double Cables Cardigan, Double Duck, Bleu Canard, Blue Duck…
Whatever you want to call it.
I sure wish Family Circle Easy Knitting would do what Rowan does and give nifty names to their patterns.
Much easier to look up info on them on-line.
But this way we get to be even more […]

Almost FO

Monday, October 18th, 2004

The shrunken mess you see in the above photo is my (almost) finished Family Circle Easy Knitting cardigan.
All I need to do is sew in the sleeves and seam up the sides and I’m done.
I hope to have it wearable in the next few days.

Watch Out Phildar

I did start out making them, but I then realized […]

Wednesday, September 15th, 2004

After living in France for three years I’ve still yet to find a pair of pants here that fits.

Or a non-exuberantly priced sweater made from 100% natural fibers and not an acrylic blend like I usually find in the shops in Dijon.

[Dear Ann Taylor: When are you coming to Europe?]

This quest led me to notice […]

Shopping Spree

Tuesday, September 7th, 2004

French stores may not hold sales every week but that doesn’t mean they don’t know how to make their regular customers happy from time to time.
Note that I use the word regular.
This means being in possession of a little card called la carte de fidélité.
I’ve discovered them and have a few in my wallet.
My […]
