Done Daisy

Friday, August 27th, 2004

I finally finished seaming and weaving in lots of ends yesterday while watching Kill Bill.

Ta-dah!
Here’s Daisy (along with some of what I learned while making her).

Yikes!
Do you see the problem?
Seems I made the pattern backwards!
See Note No. 1 for more info on this mirror-image boo-boo.

Here’s a sample of what Daisy is going to look like after I get her all seamed up tonight

Le Weekend

Monday, August 23rd, 2004

The sun came back to Dijon this weekend!

This means that not much knitting was done during the day.
Instead I took advantage of the nice weather and got out for some hiking in the vineyards.

Wednesday, August 11th, 2004

Thought I’d actually post about knitting today since this is after all, A Knitting Blog.

Here’s the progress report on my Yellow Licorne Tank Top.
I’m currently about to start row 58.
After unrolling the hemline I have about 6.5 inches so far.
Hopefully blocking will help with this rolling issue since it’s turning out to be a little […]

Version 2.0

Friday, July 30th, 2004

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve started and then restarted this project.
Well, yes, actually I can tell you (the front piece, at least, would’ve been finished by now had I kept knitting without ripping out).
After my successful swatch I became obsessed with all that stockinette stitch where instead those drop stitches should have […]
